006: Liberation: Your Personal Responsibility with Sara Folsom

In this episode, we welcome Sara Folsom -

Sara is the creator of transformational movement practice Shake Rising. She is committed to her personal liberation and the freedom of those around her through the modality of Shake Rising. Sara owns a fitness studio called the Sanctuary on the island of Kauai where she brings her 10+ years of experience in the fitness industry to help people merge their body and their spirit, leading to deeper liberation.

In this Soul Share, we focus on all things liberation - all finding a common home in the premise of personal liberation not being "selfish", but in fact just the opposite. We discuss how freeing yourself from the imprints of trauma and dis-ease stored in the body from past experiences as well as early programming is not only for the benefit of you, but for the world at large.

Some other themes we explore are indoctrination to the Dharma & spiritual ego vs. attunement to true Devotion & Dharma, the impact of our inner freedom on others, embracing the human parts as essential to liberation, and healing shame with vulnerability.

Sara also shares her story on birthing her business, Shake Rising and yielding to her Dharma even more in the midst of a massive rock bottom period of physical injury. We learn what it really takes to trust the red carpet life has laid out for us by following the gentle (or rough) nudges, even (and likely) before we can even recognize it as such.

As always, we get raw and real with our experiences and with you about the journey of coming home to our authentic selves, and finding the mysterious path of our unique expression and service in the world.
